FC Peoria  - Volunteer Policy

Volunteerism is the foundation of all youth organizations. From the Board of Directors all the way to the parents, the sharing of time and resources ensures success.

Travel Tournaments Volunteering - Required

FC Peoria hosts Fall and Spring soccer tournaments and the success of these events is dependant upon volunteers. In order to keep the workloadmanageable for our volunteers, FC Peoria will require each family to work a minimum number of hours per tournament.

2 hours/parent/child - not to exceed 6 hours per family per tournament

There will be many opportunities to volunteer at the Fall and Spring tournaments, such as overall organization, registration, field lining, trash set-up/pick-up, parking attendants, concessions, etc. It is our intention that each family member volunteer during slots when their children are not playing.

Field and Building Maintenance Volunteering Required

In addition to club tournaments, the FC Peoria teams will be assigned either specific fields and/or areas inside/outside the building for year-round maintenance needs. Team managers will set up a schedule of responsibilities throughout the year.

Consequences of NOT fulfilling committments will be a $200 per child fee, unless otherwise approved by the Board of Directors, due to extenuating circumstances. Failure to pay the fee will result in your child/children not being able to attend practice, participate in games, or attend tryouts until the fee has been paid.

Other Volunteer Needs

We have other ongong or one-time volunteer opportunities for those individuals who have extra time they could provide to the club. The building and grounds opportunities range from mowing the fields to field lining to snow plowing/shoveling. In addition, we need accountants and insurance agents to be part of the finance committee, which meets monthly.
