FC Peoria lands intern David Sinclair to remake club site |
|
In the middle of January FC Peoria was delighted to discover that the club would receive an intern redo the club website. The existing FC Peoria website has been described as difficult to both edit and use. The club has looked for someone to take on this critical task for well over a year. Our intern, David Sinclair, is a former club player and part of ICC's prestigious web development program. David and his family have a donated many service hours to the club over a number of years. His father, Jim, serves as the club treasurer and tournament director. His mother Chris has been instrumental in the success of the cafeteria area.
Since January a team including the director of coaching, Jason Pena, club registrar, Cheryl Kaiser, marketing director, Celeste Restrepo and club parent, Rob Smith, have worked with David on the creation of the new site. The team has worked hard and long, with David spending over 300 hours so far developing the site. Many managers and club leaders have devoted the time to review the site and offer feedback.
"We are truly lucky to have someone of David's caliber to take on this project and to have club leadership intimately involved in the project," said Celeste Restrepo, team leader. "Over 500 local soccer families, tournament visitors and new members to the community will benefit from the efforts of David, the website development team and team managers and club leaders who have provided input."
